I just spent 10 days in Kyiv and Vynnitsia and loved having this app. Super handy for simple communication. After a couple days training, I could say hello, good bye, please, and thank you. A few more days and I would have been able to say "Hello (correctly for the time of day). I dont speak Ukranian. Do you speak English?"
The people of Ukraine are so friendly and hospitable. They always went out of their way for me and my family. For this I am grateful.
One wish: the ability to star phrases and get back to the favorite phrases quickly. I found myself regulary needing about 10 phrases, but could not find them quickly as they were scattered among "communication", "numbers", "eating out", "greetings". It sometimes took me a awhile to find the phrase a second or third time.
Search is useful, but I would often search for the wrong terms... Is it "bill" or "check" that I should type to find the phrase for "please bring me the check"?
Ok, one more: "where is the toilet" would have been handy. Sure, saying "toilet" works, but is so much more crude than using a whole phrase.
Oh, an alphabet pronunciation guide and I could have left the Lonely Planet phrase book at home.
Overall a great app.
